When I returned home to the country last weekend, my mom pulled out the most wonderful antique blouse from a stash in the basement to give to me. It has the most delicate buttons, pintuck pleats and a nerdy collar aka love at first sight! Today I'm wearing it an American Apparel pique skirt and floral granny tapestry shoes.
Between writing papers on oppressive femininity, applying for a new passport, obsessively listening to the Arcade Fire and doing Regis Philbin impressions, I found the time to take some narcissistic face shots. This is what I look like without glasses!
Weird, right? That's more like it.

At first I didn't like The Suburbs. It sounded soo different, I couldn't recognize them.. But some songs grew on me, and after their gig I was officially obsessed with this album!Suburban War, We used to wait and Ready to start are my absolute favourites.
I haven't heard the new Arcade Fire album although I know I really should. I missed the chance to see them live when they came to the Bay Area recently and I'm still kicking myself for that! Anyways, that blouse is incredibly pretty and you styled it so wonderfully! Also, dig the new layout. Books, ftw.
Hi Isa,
Don't you love treasures from mom? I have many things that were my mom's and I wear them all of the time.
You look great without glasses, but I'm really used to how you look with them on.
I LOOK WEIRD WITHOUT GLASSES TOO!
ooh, I just started listening to the new Arcade Fire after ignoring it for awhile. I really like it! Wow, your hair is getting way longer. I like the glasses best, of course. Glasses are the coolest, even though I don't wear mine that much. (I'm the opposite and think I look weird with them.)
Ahhh, your blouse is so sweet! xxx
that is an amazing blouse! and your shoes are too die for!

You look so wonderfully Victorian today.
I am well annoyed that my mum saved none of her old clothes- I know she had a jumper in this amazing rainbow wool as well! Dammit.
That is a really gorgeous blouse! And I'm so behind in my Arcade Fire listening, I STILL haven't listened to their entire new album. I really, REALLY need to get on that, huh?
This is a really good look! I also have to renew my passport this year… bleehh…
People always look so different without their glasses! (just me?)
The blouse is just gorgeous.

I always love your outfits. 'Specially that bright blue top! I'm obsessed with the nineties so your blog is pretty radddddd.
Wow, wish my mum would pull out a blouse like that from our basement!

Aah! You look spo beautiful in that blouse and skirt. It's adorable.
I have had some epic clothes from my parents. My favourite is a velvet jacket my mum had at 16 and I am kind of wearing to death at the moment.
(I say parents because I steal my Dad's old clothes too)
I like the blouse with your brown eyes. I wish I had brown ones.

That blouse is so pretty! And it's the perfect shade of blue *.* I wish my mom kept clothes this awesome stashed away for me >.>
That's a great blouse! How sweet of your mom to get that out for you. And I love it with those sweet shoes!
It's so weird seeing people without their glasses.
