Looking for a new England...
Lately I've been completely obsessed with the idea of an 'Arctic Princess' sort of look, where you're all bundled up and warm but still looking pretty good. I'd say my wardrobe is full of decent 'bundling' sort of clothes but I need the perfect boots to complete the image. Sorel boots, to be exact. Those things are warm, indestructible, and not terribly attractive but the houndstooth is cool and they're too darn functional for me to really care. Plus, when I say indestructible I mean it. My mom has had her Sorels for over 20 years now. IN-DE-STRUC-TI-BLE. Behold...

The boots are great!
I went blonde a few different times, it was fun and I got a lot more attention. It didn't look natural on me though, so I'm better with red.
So go blonde, you can always do it dark again.

and yes, i too want to abandon all the pretty boots for a pair of nice sturdy LL Beans. it is -10 outside and snowing. and i'm seriously reconsidering my fashion choices. however, i do feel better about myself when i see all the UGG wearers around me. heh.
those boots are actually really cute in that print...but then again I LOVE houndstooth. That first girl's hair is GORGEOUS...i wish i could pull that off.

blonde is totally overrated, haha. just kidding. a good amount of my friends are blonde, though, so i say embrace the fantasticness of being brunette!
Aha I used to have Sorrels. But they were a really ugly type. The houndstooth ones are nice though! And ah I do sometimes dream of white blonde hair....

and sorels last FOREVER. straight up truth. i've been skiing since i was four, and there is no snow shoe like a sorel.
I think the whole blond thing is overated...although I would LOVE to be able to do the whole Nico look...she's one of my style icons.

those boots are pretty cool, houndstooth is one of my recent fashion obsessions. herringbone would be good for this "wintery princess" look you want to try, i think. i recently got really into herringbone stuff and got a jacket from the salvation army, check out my blog if you want to see pictures. :)

ahh i know what you mean about the hair. i tried to get mine that shade but it would never get quite there..so now its dark brown and im loving it!
