To start with, this Hel-looks girl is reading my mind with her epic cozy combination of fair isle, grey tights and large neck cowl.

I really want to know how she made those pants because they're completely awesome. I love how she moves to the beat of her own drummer, not anyone else's.

My good friend Rachael Meckling does beautiful fashion illustrations and I agreed to showcase her talent. Isn't the call girl lovely?

I think its truly amazing when a photograph can capture the exact feeling that music can provoke. Looking at this concert photograph is almost as good as listening to a Minor Threat song itself.
I hope its not too much to ask my knitting expert Aunt to make me a Rodarte-esque sweater for a Christmas/Birthday present...

Finally, the pants/ slippers matching job I did yesterday was too perfect not to post!

Those are fantastic slippers! I have a pair of children's Optimus Prime slippers that are not as cool, but very dorky...love'em!
i have your blog on my google reader and was surprised when ms. meckling's drawing came up (since i know her too)! small world. hahah.
I love random posts...you never know what you're going to get! I'm totally with you on the photo-representation thing...I dig when it happens. I love to see a visual to what I'm listening to.
That first picture makes me think warmth...It's so chic/functional.
i love your picture posts, Isabel! P.S for our sleep over on New Years I think you should wear those pants and bring the slippers along. It's too cute not to love! Ahhhhh I miss you.
Fun photos!
Fair isle is one of my new favorite things this year, I think.
i love that hel looks girl and i also love minor threat and i also love totally random posts where you just comment on random pictures, so in turn, i just adore this whole post.
That second girl is beyond amazing! Oh wow, and I love the matching pants and slippers, so funny.
I love the first picture--it's amazing, but it looks really achievable. Your matching in the last picture is amazing.
why can't i see tavi's blog anymore? you're bff with her, tell her to fix this! she makes me laugh almost as much as you do.
your blog is feel good......
I like the hel-looks girl!
Tell your aunt to make me one too!
all of the pictures flow together so well, I love the gig photo
Amazing slippers:) And this first girl from HL looks fab! Love her sweater.
haha that last pic...now all you need is my fluffy plaid wal-mart bathrobe and youre set :P
agree about the rodarte-esque sweater...I think that would make the BEST gift...
Hmm... I'm not sure, but I think when black denim is bleached that orangish color is what comes out, so with a little trial and error, perhaps you could duplicate what she did there.
Hooray for thick grey tights and big knits!
Love the first photo..
I love that fashion illustration. Does Rachael Meckling have a blog/website?
Oh, great pictures! I love how there are pidgeons in the bg of the first one and theres a bare empty street(?) in the bg of the next. I don't even know why I'm noticing those considering they aren't even the focus of those photos.
oh man this post makes me miss concerts SO HARD AHHHGHHHHHHHHHHH
i feel compelled to spend all my money on screamo tickets now. x_x
why thank you!!! im making more tomorrow!
ps i love your site.
:)
i must inquire about the call girl drawing. the artist has to have a site and/or etsy store?
kadir is pretty much right about the girl's pants-- i use a lot of bleaching in my designs, and almost anything non-indigo-denim comes out a rusty orange color, usually to my dismay.. but this looks exactly like an awesome pair of dark maroon men's pants that i bleached (but have yet to reconstruct).
..so when i saw those pants i was like "OMGZ I HAVE A TOP I MADE LIKE THAT" and was all pumped to be like, "yeah.. bleach + water, then rinse.. bingoo," in a smooth voice and such. but apparently you've already been informed. pity. also, for the record, i quite like your blog. x
