River Euphrates

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and that the Christmas elf made all their dreams come true. To everyone out there shopping on Boxing Day - good luck... I was a lucky wench this year, as I am most years, and got the important things I wished for, them being; brown crocodile print Doc Martens, a polar bear sweater, some Clinique make-up, sewing stuff and Surfer Rosa by the Pixies.

What I call my Christmas suit (wearing everything new you got at once!) is probably going to end up my favourite outfit of the winter.

I also went out this morning and braved the crowds for a few short minutes to pick up insoles for the Doc Martens, because they...ummmm... aren't very comfortable. (Seriously, they are way too wide and cut into my ankles. Ooops. If your feet are even remotely narrow, do not buy Doc Martens. Unfortunately, these were bought on eBay so its not like I had the chance to try them on before buying them, which really blows.) But I really only a wanted a picture to show off my new Betseyville bag that was an early birthday gift from my best friend. I love it! How could she go wrong with leopard print and studs?

Now I am off to do some winter sledding with the possibility of hot chocolate in rural Ontario. Cheers!

Kudos on all of your hip new goodies. The Doc's are really nice, and will "wear in".

Also, I've been thinking about your knitting. How is that going?

I like the Christmas suit idea. Yours looks great. I'd do that with my Christmas gifts, but it would look really heinous. My relatives didn't give me such nice neutral-colored clothing.

I am from the US, but I have been to Canada a few times and i have always loved visiting..your backyard looks so nice all covered in snow!
PS - You look SO PRETTY in these pictures! Are you wearing the clinique makeup you got? If so, can you share the shades?

Nice haul! My feet arn't narrow, so maybe they will feel ok in the Doc Martens I'm planning on buying. Only problem is trying to find pink doc martens. the internet may be my answer...

So the Docs aren't good for narrow feet? I wonder how they work for wide, because mine run a tad wide.

And your Betseyville bag is ADORABLE. I love the print!

Hey everyone! The polar bear sweater is from Bluenotes (ick), the green coat is from Zara (2 winters ago) and I most definitely am wearing red lipstick in the 2nd pic. Its a glamourous change to my beauty routine. :) Thanks for all the comments, I love you all!

I love the polar bears, they're my favorite animal.
Very cute, I love your styling.
Do the insoles make the doc's any more comfortable ?
I was thinking of getting a pair. . . now I
m not so sure. I hate painful shoes.

"Christmas suit" is rad!
I love the loose crochet hat look, but the one I got for Christmas is cap-shaped D: It just makes my head look small.

Oh dear lord you look like my sister in the picture picture! That aside, it still amazes me how you can make usually lame animal sweaters look beyond cool. Cheers!
